How launch voting works
In short
Only verified Newly Stack members can vote, once per tool per launch week, and never for a product they make. Votes from very new accounts or shared IPs and devices are held until an editor reviews them. Buying votes gets the launch removed and the maker blocked.
The launch week
A launch week runs from Monday 00:00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59:59 UTC. In Indonesia that is Monday 07:00 WIB to the next Monday 06:59:59 WIB.
The boundary is exact. A vote saved at 23:59:59 UTC on Sunday counts for the closing week; from Monday 00:00 UTC that week no longer accepts votes and a new week opens.
Each week has a free queue (currently 20 slots). Paid priority launches are planned but not open yet, and paying never changes the ranking.
Who can vote
You need a Newly Stack account with a verified email and a finished membership. Visitors who are not logged in get a request to log in; accounts that are not verified are refused.
Every vote passes a Cloudflare Turnstile check and must come from the Newly Stack website itself.
You can vote once per tool per launch week. A second vote for the same tool in the same week is refused. You can undo your vote while the week is open and vote again later in that week.
Makers cannot vote for their own product. That covers the account that submitted the tool, every verified maker of that listing, and Newly Stack staff on products owned by the Newly Stack owner.
Votes that are held for review
Some votes are saved but not counted until an editor approves them: votes from accounts younger than 48 hours, and votes for the same launch from different accounts that share a hashed IP address or a device cookie.
We never store your raw IP address. It is turned into a daily salted hash that cannot be reversed and changes every day.
Held votes are reviewed by an editor in our admin queue before they count; we aim to review them within 24 hours. Until then your vote button shows "Your vote is in review". Approved votes count, rejected votes never do.
Ranking and badges
The ranking only uses counted votes cast before the week ended. Ties go to the tool that entered the week first.
When the week closes, the three highest ranked tools get a badge: winner, second and third of the week. A tool needs at least one counted vote to get a badge.
Products made by the owner of Newly Stack (Rephrasa, Soluslide, Ruang Visual, Artikulasi, Teman Usaha and Forgelo) carry an ownership label everywhere, can take part in launches, and never get a winner badge. The badge goes to the next eligible tool.
Buying votes
Buying votes, vote rings and fake accounts are not allowed. If we find them, the launch is removed from the ranking, its votes are rejected and the maker account is blocked.
Sponsored placements are always labeled Sponsored and never add votes, badges or score points.
Questions about voting
When does a launch week start and end?
Every Monday 00:00 UTC (07:00 WIB) to Sunday 23:59:59 UTC (Monday 06:59:59 WIB).
Can I change my vote?
Yes. While the week is open you can remove your vote and vote again. After the week closes, votes are final.
Why is my vote held?
Votes from accounts younger than 48 hours, or from accounts sharing an IP address or device with another voter on the same launch, wait for a quick editor review before they count.
Can Newly Stack's own products win?
No. They can launch and receive votes, but the winner badges always go to other tools.
